Bio: Joseph Awhinawhi is Project Manager with experience in managing construction and development projects. He is passionate about change and uses education as his platform. His philosophy is, when people know better, they live better. He is very passionate about his home country of Nigeria. A graduate of the Covenant University, Nigeria, Joseph holds a Master’s degree in Architecture. He enjoys reading, meditating, teaching, listening to people and encouraging others to live out their dreams and maximize their potential.

Bio: Opemipo is an architect at one of the leading architectural firms in Nigeria. He has interest in contributing to the Nigerian project by investing in capacity building initiatives for the young. He has a flair for arts and crafts, and enjoys listening to music.


Name: Bowofade Elegbede
Designation: Member, Advisory Council
Bio: Bowofade holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, from Bowen University, and a MSc in E-Business and Innovation from Lancaster University, UK. He started his professional career in business advisory and consultancy at Deloitte Touche after which he moved to Asset and Resource Management Holding Company Limited (ARM) where he is currently responsible for the Corporate Strategy of some of its key subsidiaries. Bowofade is a CFA Level II candidate and has been responsible for key projects in the short span of his professional career including ARM’s Library initiative which was implemented in partnership with the Lagos State Government. He is the Head of Strategy and Finance for Keltop Agro Services.

Bio: Joelle is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Affairs at The New School in New York City. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2014. She and Joseph met as IDEX Fellows in Banaglore, India in 2016 while working with an education technology start-up and educational after-school program for children of low-income families. She is passionate about human rights, social justice and inclusion for marginalized populations. She enjoys traveling, photography and theater, and the smell of old books.

Bio: Shantanu Paul has been with the Venture and Fellowship team in India since 2016. Originally from Australia, Shantanu came to India through the IDEX Global Fellowship program, an accelerator in Social Entrepreneurship for early stage professionals. Prior to this, Shantanu has worked for aid organizations such as World Vision Australia in various capacities and founded the Save the Children Australia Youth Movement. He started his own organization for Youth Mentorship and Youth Empowerment in Australia and has also extensively worked in the space of Youth Mental Health. Shantanu has a strong interest in Social Entrepreneurship with particular interests in Mental Health and Human Rights.
